Atlanta's Best (and Quickest) Lunch
Sure, breakfast and dinner are cool but over here at Blue Durango HQ, we are big fans of lunch. And Atlanta has so many incredible lunch options. We might be biased but we think iced tea is the perfect lunch beverage -- it’s refreshing, hydrating, pairs with any flavor, AND you get that midday caffeine boost. Check out some of our favorite lunch spots in the city, where you can also tip back a cold glass of Blue Durango sweet (or unsweet) tea.
Gusto We can’t get enough of this place, so we’re very excited there are now TWO locations in town (South Buckhead and Ponce). It’s quick, it’s delicious, and it’s quality food on the healthier side. Our pick? Grilled chicken or shrimp over mixed greens and brown rice with the chipotle mango avocado "gusto" (aka topping). What’s YOUR gusto?
Souper Jenny This iconic place needs no introduction. You can get one of the city’s best lunches in Decatur, Brookhaven, and at the new Buckhead location in the Atlanta History Center. Is it soup season yet?
There is no better option for a quick, healthy meal in Midtown, and they never skimp you on the portions! You can eat every meal of the day here -- omelette for breakfast, soup and salad for lunch, pan seared salmon for dinner…..and of course, the delicious Sunday brunch.
Taqueria del Sol
Three words: All. The. Tacos. If you’re craving tacos, there is no better quick and cheap lunch in town at one of Taqueria’s three locations. True Atlantans know not to let the line deter you; it moves quickly. They also know to order the queso (and a marg if it’s that kind of afternoon).
If you’re at (or close to) Ponce City Market, you have plenty of lunch options at your fingertips. Let us suggest a delicious chicken sandwich or biscuit because you’re never going to be disappointed you ate that. You’re welcome.
